The Artist Behind the Work
Hi! I’m Kayla, a self-taught artist creating across a wide range of styles and subjects. To me, life is art. It’s raindrops on a window, city lights at night, leaves in the wind. Art is a smile, a tear, poetry, holding hands, a shared hug. It lives in architecture, photographs, fashion, and everyday moments we often pass by. I believe that without art, without capturing the small details, life can start to fade. It helps us slow down, feel more deeply, and hold onto what matters.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It gets me through hard days and reminds me to appreciate the good ones just as much. It gives me a way to express my feelings and share my thoughts without needing the perfect words, something I’ve always struggled with. As someone who’s naturally anxious and a little awkward, creating art helps me connect with people in ways I otherwise couldn’t.
As a mother of two in Missouri, fueled by a deep love for life and inspired by everyday moments, I create with the hope that my work brings happiness, connection, and appreciation for simply “being”.
This space is a collection of my traditional paintings and digital pieces, with prints and other items available for purchase, along with a place to connect about future commissions. While commissions are not open just yet, they will be soon. I truly love creating for others. Bringing your ideas to life and sharing in your joy means the world to me, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity to make something meaningful together.
Thank you for sharing your time and stopping by to explore my art! I hope you find something along the way that brings joy and a moment of warmth to your day.
